To Submit Volunteer Hours:

The volunteer keeps track of volunteer hours, fills the log, and mails or drops off the logs at the RSVP office or nearby Senior Center each month. Both the volunteer and the Station Coordinator must sign the log. You can do the following when submitting hours to RSVP:

Grocery Shopping Service

  • Reading Partners: Trained reading partners assist and mentor elementary school children in reading skills.
  • SHOP Handyman Service: Volunteers build wheelchair ramps and handrails for low income seniors and handicapped individuals.
  • Disaster Preparedness Program: Volunteers provide education and assistance regarding emergency response plans, drills, resources, and exercises.
  • Veterans' Outreach: Volunteers provide support groups and resources for veterans and their families.
  • Tax assistance:  Trained Volunteers assist seniors with income tax preparation--February through April 14th. Call 584-0144 for an appointment.

Grocery Program

For more than 44 years, RSVP Weld County has devoted its energy to community service in Weld County. In 2016-2017--84,069 hours were volunteered.  This is a value of $1,900,000 using Federal standards that has been given back to Weld County.  Join us!

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program invites adults age 55 and over to use their life experience and skills to answer the call of their neighbors in need.

Our Volunteers continue and take grocery orders every Wednesday from 3-4:30 p.m. for those who are homebound and in need of having groceries delivered to their homes. Don't hesitate and call us at 351-2588.  

Due to the busy holiday season our program will not be available on the week of Dec 25th-1st but will Resume back on Wed. Jan 3rd to take your grocery calls.
